App development for iPhone and Android
I develop your app with Kotlin Multiplatform: one codebase, two native apps in the App Store and on Google Play. From the first prototype to the backend and release, you have one contact person.
One app for two platforms, without double the work
Traditionally you get two separate apps: one in Swift for iPhone, one in Kotlin for Android. That means twice the code, twice the bugs and twice the cost for every change.
With Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform I write logic and interface once. Only where the device requires it, for example camera, maps or notifications, do I connect the iOS and Android interfaces directly. Your users still get an app that feels right on their phone.
Kotlin Multiplatform & Compose
Shared logic and UI for iPhone and Android, native integration where needed.
Firebase
Real-time database, login by phone number or e-mail, Cloud Functions, push and file storage.
Tests and automated releases
Automated tests, static code analysis and a release process that reliably gets new versions into the stores.
How your app project works
- 01
First call
We clarify who uses the app, which problem it solves and what it must do on day one. Free of charge.
- 02
Concept & prototype
You get wireframes and a clickable prototype, plus a written quote.
- 03
Development
In short iterations with test builds you try out on your own phone.
- 04
Launch & support
Release on Apple and Google, then updates and new features as you need them.
NiftyPanda Friends: my own app
Built because on group trips and at festivals the important information gets lost in the WhatsApp chat. Chat, packing list, shopping, shared expenses and a live map in one app. I built the concept, design, app and backend myself, and the app is available as an open beta for iPhone and Android.

How much does an app cost?
The price depends on the scope, so I do not quote flat rates. As a rough guide, a small, clearly defined app without its own backend starts at around €4,500. There is no upper limit.
Apps with chat, real-time sync, maps and their own backend cost many times that. After our first call you get a written quote, either as a fixed price or based on effort.
An estimate for your idea
Describe briefly what the app should do. I will tell you what is realistic and what to expect.
Questions about app development
How much does it cost to have an app developed?
It depends on the scope. As a rough guide, a small, clearly defined app without its own backend, such as an information or form app, starts at around €4,500. There is no upper limit. Apps with chat, real-time sync, maps and their own backend, like NiftyPanda Friends, cost many times that. After our first call you get a concrete quote.
How long does app development take?
I can only tell once I know your project. It ranges from a few weeks to several months. Tell me briefly what you have in mind and I will estimate the timeline for you.
Do I need two apps for iPhone and Android?
No. With Kotlin Multiplatform there is one shared codebase for both platforms. You still get two native apps, one in the App Store and one on Google Play.
Can I change content in the app myself?
Yes, if you want to. I build a browser admin panel where you manage content without publishing a new app version.
Do you handle the App Store release?
Yes. I prepare the store listings, submit the app to Apple and Google and see it through review. Ideally the developer accounts are in your name, so the app belongs to you from day one.
Tell me about your project
A few sentences are enough. I usually reply within 24 hours, and the first conversation is free.
- You write to meFor parts, ideally with photos and dimensions. For apps, a short description of the idea.
- We have a quick callBy phone or video, in English or German. We clarify what you need and by when.
- You get a quoteIn writing, as a fixed price or based on effort. Take your time to decide.
